The Thames is stunning and worth a stroll along.
The Thames is stunning and worth a stroll along. Sit and watch the birds, fish, boats, dragonflies, and people enjoying themselves. The Rose Revived Public House and Restaurant is not for fine dining but you can have a wonderful meal and a lovely drink in nice surroundings. The willows and gardens are lovely. We enjoyed the gardens at Coggs.
We enjoyed the gardens at Coggs. We ate outside at the Rowing Machine pub which was in the shade, very comfortable and our grandchildren played very happily in the playground and grounds. We tried to charge our Electric mobile home on a Sunday evening which was in the Lidl car park but there was nowhere nearby to sit whilst it was charging and nowhere to have a coffee and wait. Costa coffee in the Travel Lodge across the roundabout was closed and we tried to get a coffee and use the toilet at The Oxford Whitney Hotel the other side of the roundabout but were ordered off the premises by the security guard. I eventually used the toilet in the mini Waitrose supermarket and petrol station opposite Lidl.Guest review byWood - 8.0

The walls were a bit thin within the room I occupied (I went to bed early after a long drive), so maybe worth asking for a quiet room for those who want complete silence on their stay. Apart from this very minor point, the stay was excellent. Really impressed with the relaxed atmosphere, the staff and the overall cleanliness and layout of the room. The staff were very helpful. The room clean and modern. As there wasn't a breakfast option staff recommended Kingsley's Cafe which is 5 minutes from the Hotel and we also recommend.
