We went to use Florina as a base for visiting Lake Prespa...
We went to use Florina as a base for visiting Lake Prespa and the national park. Ideal for that. Florina is very much a Greek working town and doesn't seem to do a lot for tourism. Tavernas were excellent although be aware many are shut on Mondays. Signage in the town could be better. We only found the centre by accident on our last night.Guest review byKenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Loved the lush green mountains. So picturesque! Amazing after coming from dry Thessaloniki and Athens. An author would have great inspiration to write a work of fiction. the walk along the river was gorgeous with the restaurants and coffee shops. There is also the 'market" where you can get fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, and many household items, as well as clothing, every Wednesday and Saturday. So glad I got to go. That of course means it is on a hill, not steep but still and climb at night. We had a suite - bedroom, toilet/bathroom and lounge area. Very quiet and a lot better than we expected for the price.
