I didn’t realise how commercial the area was.
I didn’t realise how commercial the area was. It had a strip down to the sea front lines with British pubs and restaurants serving British food. At night it was loud and the streets were filled with ignorant people trying to start fights and screaming abuse at eachother. Would not recommend staying in this area if your looking for an authentic Greek holiday as it felt a lot like Benidorm rather than any of the other islands I’ve been to. If possible try sty in the more westerly villages they felt more authentic like afiones, great views and better people. However this area is budget friendly so if you use it as a base like we did and explore the northern/western parts of the island from here it will be good value.
