Calm and very nice area. Close to the sea, perfect for relaxation, away from the crowds. The only thing i do not like, but this is not related to this specific area, are the roads. There is a lovely restaurant at the end of the Main Street in Amouda - the Grill house, which overlooks the sea where you can enjoy delicious food including traditional Greek dishes. It’s way more beautiful than Zakhyntos.
It’s way more beautiful than Zakhyntos. If you can, stay in Kipseli - much more quiet, the nature is gorgeous, way less tourists and more culture. Less frequent area with only few restaurant options nearby. Also, the nicer beaches are a bit further away. If you come here you may get a decent hotel for somewhat lover price but you need to travel a bit more for reaching the best places on the island. A peaceful side to the island away from the bustle of Laganas with lovely coves and small beaches. Not the big lengths of sand on the south of the island but far more laid back, The roads can be very narrow and a real maze but solvable with a good mapping app! worth persevereing as there are some really good restaraunts in the hills away from the coast not ably in Ano Gerakari.Guest review byDaveUnited Kingdom
