Amazing new hotel, everything is just so stylish and gives a nice luxe feel. The staff is great. We got our room upgraded cause it was my friend’s birthday trip, thank you so much!! The pool area with cozy beds, the private beach zone, free smoothies were brought to your sunbed. I got a really good deal for this hotel but our experience was worth much more thanks to them ;)

The staff was very polite, smiling and kind. The room was amazing, especially the shower. Amazing bed, an overall exceptional stay, I totally recommend! Also note that while the property mentions that there is no parking, there are many available spots just in front of it!

The sea front executive suites are amazing, the sun set for your own private pool is something exceptional, just go for it... What didn’t I like???? The room itself was bright, airy and decorated in an upmarket, contemporary style. The view across the seafront was so pretty and a joy to wake up to. The shower was unreal! Never known water pressure like it in Greece. The bed, my goodness, so soft and at the same time, so supportive! The room was tremendous value for money. Oh, and the location could not have been more central, directly in the middle of the old town and it’s charming labyrinth of winding streets leading to the stunning Venetian harbour front. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful, they really made me feel like they wanted me there.

Mary is super helpful and very welcoming. She was responsive to our messages and waited for us to arrive. The apartment was very clean and spacious. There’s a little kitchen with everything needed. It was just a 2min walk to the Main Street and beach. There is also a supermarket and restaurants around the corner. The hotel also has a little parking space. We would recommend Calmare suites to everyone! Thank you for the great hospitality ☺️

Beautiful rooms, awesome to have the outdoor jacuzzis, we spent almost all of our time in Rethymno out on the terrace just relaxing to the sounds of the ocean. It was gorgeous and there are so many exquisite details. Breakfast was also fantastic with tons of choices for all tasted and more than enough food to cover both breakfast and lunch - we weren’t hungry again until dinner!

    Loutra is a real Cretan working village and this is why I...

    Loutra is a real Cretan working village and this is why I chose it. I am trying to buy a house on Crete and I wanted to see how village life worked. It is also on the road to the most important monastery on Crete and has easy access to the National Road, which goes east and west and takes you to the main towns all along the north coast. It also gives you access to both international airports. You can catch a bus from the village in and out of Rethymnon which is useful for site seeing without needing to use your car and nearby there are restaurants, a bakery and shops. I even made an English friend in the village while I was there. I recommend a car though to get around. It's not the most beautiful of the Cretan villages but it is a very convenient place to stay.
