Such a stunning Greek village, good access to local beaches, they are all stoney not sandy so you need beach shoes. Easy to get the little ferry to Agiofili which is a lovely beach. Nice to rent a car to see some more of the island. Lots of windsurfing, sailing, wing foiling opportunities if you're into that. Can hire bikes too. Next to the beach, there is a wide pedestrian promenade with bars and restaurants. The harbor area is very beautiful. The atmosphere is pleasant, although in the evening it can get quite crowded. There are many shops with a wide variety of products, so you can find almost everything you need. The beach is pebbly, so it’s not possible to walk barefoot, but once you get into the water the seabed is covered with fine sand. Vasiliki is a relatively cheap resort on the island of Lefkada. There are all the facilities - restaurants, car hire, etc. It has a long organised beach excellent for windsurfers. It is close to the three excellent snorkelling beaches Ammoussa, Afteli, and Agiofili, reachable by car. Against that, it is at the very south of the island and therefore a long way from other destinations. It takes about 40 mins by car to get to the capital city which is also called Lefkada. Vassiliki is a vibrant small village with relaxed people who are mainly there for sailing and windsurfing. So they create also this relaxed vibe. For us, it's a 2-star hotel, and you can't ask for too much. We stayed from August 31 to September 2, 2024, and paid 154 euros. Advantages: The location and the view are what convinced me, the terrace is very large, even larger than the room itself, the bed linens were very clean, which was a plus. The staff keeps it spotless clean and the owners are so nice and always open to communicate, to recommend a place on the island or to help if needed. The hotel is very close to the beach , you can also drive 30 minutes to Porto Katsiki and Egremny. By walk is 15 min to the center of Vasiliki.
