We booked this accomodation for 1 night, surrounded by the pure nature. Looking at 4 vulcanos at the same time. The owner and personal are very kind and open for a nice conversation. Set in attractive grounds in a small, typically Guatemalan community just outside (5 minutes by Uber) from the centre of Antigua, with stunning views of hills and volcanoes. Casa Buho is a family run bed and breakfast hotel with exceptional quality rooms. This was a great place to stay as we had already spent a month in town, but would also be good if you want to be away from the noise and bustle of the town.

The property is in a good location close to the Central Park. The building itself is beautiful, with a maze of courtyards, dining rooms, rooftop sitting/eating areas, shops, spa business etc. Our room was compact but beautifully appointed. The hotel provides a water station to reduce the use of plastics. A request for an iron and extra coat hangers was promptly actioned. The bed was very comfortable and we always managed to have restful sleeps. We had a very early start at 3:30am on day -travelling to Copan. Juan Jose was very helpful assisting us in contacting the transfer company when they did not arrive on time. All in all a very nice stay.

Staying in this hotel was a great experience. There’s a strong and precise concept behind its set-up. The aesthetic is faithful to the colonial style, with big attention to the details. The furnishing reflects the style of the building and is somehow “essential”. I appreciate this kind of concept a lot, so I felt like at home. The atmosphere is very relaxing… there are plants all around attracting many brids tweeting in the morning. Rooms are very clean. There’s people doing maintenance to the garden and the structure every day and the staff was always kind and careful.

Have stayed in many hotels in a comparable price range. This hotel is the best I’ve stayed in so far in terms of room equipment, atmosphere, also infrastructure.
