The interaction with the owner Ivan and staff member. The fish dinner he cooked for us was superb. The vegetables were from his garden. The view was gorgeous and location fantastic. We even swam just in front, but the nearby lakes were a better spot. Easy bike hire and ride to Polace for groceries and bakery.

Though it's not super-modern inside, I found the atmosphere of the place very congenial. This was added to by the kindliness of the lady that I dealt with, Ana, who went out of her way to be helpful. And the cat. There is a small swimming spot just a few metres away.

Marijana was a perfect host, offered me a coffee on arrival, showed me the place, helped with other things I needed and was so friendly and inviting. The area of this is beautiful, can easily hike to Veliki grad and Odysseus cave, no issues with finding it or parking. Lovely quiet place, the people in surrounding areas very friendly. Everything I needed inside the cave too. Great recommendation for the pizza place up the road, best pizza ever. For those who may not like cats, the cats are well fed and looked after and do not bother you at all, the cats and chickens are very funny to watch. The roosters can be loud sometimes in the morning but if it woke me I was easily able to go back to sleep. Absolutely loved this place I’d love to come back.

I truly loved our stay — the studio was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. Our hostess was warm and welcoming. The village felt like a hidden gem, full of charm… with cats lounging around, chickens roaming freely, and roosters gently waking us in the morning. The air was filled with the sweet scent of jasmine and elderflower. It felt as if time had stood still. Absolutely magical.

If you want to rest your mind and body, Apartments Vinko are the perfect place. Nestled in a peaceful little bay with a secluded beach, they offer stunning views from the terrace. Everything is spotless, well-equipped, and cared for with great attention. Mr. Vinko and his entire family are wonderfully kind and welcoming. We were fortunate to enjoy fish that Mr. Vinko himself caught and prepared - such a thoughtful and memorable gesture. We will definitely return to magical Mljet and Apartments Vinko. Location perfect , Host friendly and helpful despite small language barrier he couldn't do enough to help us .. even arranged for a mechanic to look at our car when we had a small problem. House beautiful. Everything you need . Parking no problem Mr Mambo showed us where to park .. even got in our car to direct us to better unloading area. We will be back x tranquil beautiful place.

We loved absolutely everything about this place. It was secluded yet also very close to the lakes and all the landmarks and activities in the park. Pool was perfect after a day’s bike ride or hike. The house was extremely comfortable, new and clean. The narrow streets and the sharp turn into the house in Govedjari were slightly intimidating at first but perfectly safe once we got used to it and amply compensated by a large parking in front ofthe house. This house is so much more than we had expected qith absoltely every item included. Excellent for families. Close to the lakes, park entrance, all major bike and hiking trails. There was a slight glitch with internet access which the owner offered to fix immediately but we travel with our own mobile network so it was not a problem. If that is fixed this house is by far the best we have ever stayed at in Croatia and we come every summer. For what it offers, the price is very reasonable but it is a bit more than others in the area (it is simply better and probably the only one witha pool and this much space). The owner is wonderful! We will be back!

    The national park is beautiful and peaceful.

    The national park is beautiful and peaceful. You can swim in the lakes within the park which have an outlet to the ocean so they are salt water. The park is ideal for cycling and walking; electric bikes being particularly popular and easy to hire. Pomena is right by the entrance to the park and boasts some good restaurants with lovely views over the harbour. There is also a beach club nearby that belongs to a hotel but is also open to the public.
