Stayed in the old town which is a gem of a place, on a peninsula with lovely winding alleyways and churches. So well maintained and clean. No litter or graffiti and everything picture perfect! And there were good places to swim on small beaches below the bell towers. There was also a large sandy bay about 10 mins walk outside the old town near the Valamar hotel. We ate at the beachside bar on the seaside promenade in the old town ( at the bottom of the cliff), they did great veggie food and other options. We walked the cement walk and past the St. Bernadine of Siena in Kampor, Franciscan Monastery, Beautiful, peaceful olive trees grounds situated right on the Sea. It has Sacred Heart priests. Read the sign ....From the first catch a single tuna would be given to the Monastery , which would give 6 liters of wine to the Fishermen,,,now that's quite a trade after a Blessing! Beautiful Functioning Monastery, such a beautiful place. Cozy little town.
Cozy little town. The harbor is beautiful, the castle is interesting. In the city center there are the usual shops and restaurants. You can eat great fish here. It's good to be here, we've been several times. Street toilet situation is not good.Guest review byLASZLOHungary - 10.0

Rab town is bustling and busy and very touristy. There's loads of options for places to eat and drink and shop. The island has beautiful beaches - and enough of them that we found a quiet one in May. Rob was a small historic town with loads of trekking trails around it, the scenery around the island was great, weather was really good although in April water is cold to swim. This place was very clean! And I am picky about things being clean. The beds were comfortable and there was a lot of room for our kids to move around. They could go outside and roam around a bit too. The location was pretty central, easy to get to different beaches that we like. I was very grateful to have a washing machine in the apartment. From the private terrace there's a view to the port and the old town. On site parking is provided. You can ask for a breakfast which is served in the neighbour Hotel Padova. It costs 15 EUR, and worth every cents. There's a small beach (with a beach bar: BEAT - THE BEAT BEACH CLUB) in front of the hotel.Guest review byAndrasHungary
