I recently spent a week in Rijeka, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. It’s not the most obvious choice for a vacation in Croatia, but that’s exactly what makes it special. The city has a relaxed, authentic atmosphere, with a mix of history, culture, and modern life that feels very genuine. The historic center is full of charm, the harbor area is lively yet not overcrowded, and there are plenty of cozy cafés and restaurants to enjoy. It’s also a great base for day trips — from beautiful beaches and islands nearby to the scenic mountains just a short drive away. Rijeka is the kind of place that grows on you: not flashy, but warm, welcoming, and real. The apartment itself is just amazing: everything is new, very clean, cozy. Beds are very comfortable, there are all pieces of equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom that you need. Bathroom is also very clean. Its like you are in a 4* hotel really (there was even a welcome gift). I encourage everyone to book it, but please preserve it in this condition for a long time.
