The area around the beach is more like a holiday resort but the streets around are fascinating. The higher you go the more you can see of the surrounding area. It's an old fashioned vacation home very typical for Lake Balaton, so if someone is looking for a luxurious condo, they might not like it - I did like it a lot, reminded me of many summers of my youth that I have spent by the Balaton at similar places.
