New hotel. Very nice. Great staff. Beautiful pools and beach club. Construction still going on, but it wasn’t disruptive. Had a balcony room. Easy stairs to second floor. Big balcony with two chairs, small table and two loungers. Also a drying rack. Room was very spacious with good storage in the closet and bathroom. Outlets on both sides of the bed. Good WiFi. Big vanity in the bath. Nice size shower. Good lighting in bath. Bed was very hard. This could be good or bad, depending on what you like. Good pillows. Nightly turndown service with cookies was a nice touch. Breakfast was included. The restaurant is lovely. 2nd floor with a beach view. A choice of entrees. The food was ok. Overall, a great resort on a quieter part of the island. Note: try Gili Teak for lunch or dinner. Fantastic food.

Everything was perfect! The staff was super friendly, the food and the included breakfast were great, and we enjoyed the small gym. The rooms were lovely, and especially the bathroom with the koi fish that you could feed. We also appreciated the hotel's secluded location and the free bikes provided that allowed us to explore the island. There’s also an outdoor cinema next door with screenings at 7 and 9 pm, which we really enjoyed!

An exceptionally wonderful hotel that is truly top-notch. Everything is beautifully designed with an elegant style, making it a real treat for the eyes. The location is great, slightly set back from the lively streets (peaceful at night), yet still close enough to the pier (15 minutes), shops, and restaurants. I especially want to compliment the breakfasts—they’re simply fantastic, with a wide selection, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.

My experience at Cocana has completely turned my view of Gili hospitality upside down One of those rare cases where I had absolutely nothing to complain about. The hotel is brand new and clearly hungry to provide the best possible service. Key highlights: 1) Cocana is a boutique-level hotel, that easily competes with renowned 5-star franchises (W,Six Senses, etc.) and challenges the typical 'downshifters chill' vibe of Gili. 2) Everything is fresh and new, with a great focus on scents. 3) Design-wise - it's tasteful and cozy, without any gaudiness. 4) Attention to the little things: beach bags, eco-friendly cosmetics, comfy slippers, cozy robes, etc. 5) The staff is well-trained, and attentive without being overpleasing. Speaks English fluently, and is super responsive. 6) Their Mistral resto offers killer cocktails and exceptional prawn Gaspacho I couldn’t resist having every day for lunch. In sum, Cocana beats many fancy hotels in Bali that would charge you 3X more for no reason. On the last note, there's a cool private beach area, spa, and gym. Loved it and highly recommend it!

Overall the hotel is pleasant, the room and outside pool was very clean. The area is super quiet. There was a mini bar with beverages which was very convenient in the evenings. The staff was super helpful with all our needs. They gave us extra towels and cleaned our room every day. There is available toiletries as well. For breakfast we had multiple available options as per our choice and was brought to our room at our preferred time.

    Staying in Gili T for 2 days was the best decision of our Bali trip! The whole vibe of the island is so cozy and calm. There are no cars, you can bicycle around the island or get a scooter. The beaches are beautiful and sunsets on the west side are breathtaking. You can order a drink and relax on beanbags on the beach while watching the most breathtaking sunsets!

    Gili T is amazing, they call it the party island but as a coupole in our 50's we didn't find it too noisy or hectic - it had a great international feel to it & very chilled hanging on the beach during the days.

    Gili T is a beautiful island and has the perfect mix of quiet, party and places to visit. We stayed for 4 days and explored as much as we could using bicycles. At the north, is Turtle point, where you can snorkle and swim with turtles - I would highly recommend. The you can visit sunset point, which is beautiful. There is a "party" area of the island too, I would recommend to those in their 20's. There are no motorised vehicles on the island. You can travel via electric scooter, bicycle or horse. We did not use the horses though, as we felt it was cruel.

    It’s a small island and you can walk or cycle it. There’s only horse drawn taxis or electric scooters and bicycles. The island has everything from quiet to party and great food. The beaches are lovely and we swam and snorkelled everyday. Saw turtles numerous times from the hotel beach as well as on group and personal trips which are really reasonable. It really is a great island.

    If you are over 35, or a couple, this island may not be for...

    If you are over 35, or a couple, this island may not be for you. Gili T is more for partying and Instagram people. The centre of the village is just crammed with horse carts, ebikes, bicycles and people. It is not really very relaxing to stroll around. Prices are higher than everywhere else (e.g. Bali or Gili A). At night it is just a mass of people drinking shots, and partying hard. EVERYONE is there to take pictures of themselves. So there are all these strange activities, like a sunrise paddleboard tour that lasts about 15 minutes (sole purpose is to take photos) or sunset horseback riding that takes 10-15 minutes (sole purpose is to take photos). No one hangs out and just vibes - it's all about the photos. I am also aware that Gili T is a muslim island and the swim suits that women were wearing were just indecent. I just wonder what the locals think about it. But the island itself, the diving, the snorkeling, the turtles are all great. The locals are fun and very cool. Honestly, there is nothing that can be done about the tourists... everyone is obsessed with photographing themselves these days and showing off their bare bottom.

    Abdi Hotel is located just beside the port perfect location if you want to be immersed in the party scene at Gili Trawangan. When we initially arrived we were placed in one of the standard rooms which we had booked and we found it was very noisy at night however Iwan the Hotel Manager could not have been more accommodating and we were upgraded for free and placed in a room that was more set back and not noisy. We were so grateful and we then had the most amazing stay. Would highly recommend Abdi Hotel

    Everything...walking distance 600m from the port a, abig plus as mode of transport is limited to horse and carriage with ridiculous prices. The staff, especially Tegar, wonderful respectful,helpful young man. Ask him anything and he will provide. The hotel itself 5 star. Rooms clean,spacious and the bathroom...wow, super clean. Really loved my stay, definitely come back and recommend to family and friends. 10/10 Restaurants, mini marts, coffee shops,any eating places nearby, walking distance.

    It was a super nice and quiet place to stay in the yet so lively gili trawangan. The owners are quite friendly and helpful. The room is cleaned every day, the beds are comfortable and the location perfect not to be woken up in the middle of the night by cheering drunks.
