So many little gems on Valentia Island, we visited the Cable Station House and had the tour which was so interesting, we went on a nature walk nearby, we visited the slate quarry, Glanleam beach, we drove down to the lighthouse, the scenery is just beautiful, the Royal Hotel does gorgeous food, and the room was very comfortable and spacious, by accident we found the Geokaun mountain and cliff walk, which was spectacular as was the Bray head walk, Valentia Island is well worth a visit.Guest review byJackieIreland

We spent hours traveling to the property, and when we arrived, we were threatened at gunpoint by an older man. A neighbor told us this is a common scam pulled by a former tenant who no longer lives there. We were forced to find a hotel at the last minute, paying three times more than originally planned.
