I had the great privilege of having a little time to get to know Salim and his family. They were very kind to me. Salim took me on some adventures around Bikaner and I learned a lot about the history and culture. He is most knowledgeable and very generous with his sharing. Salim introduced me to his father who is an incredible artist. We had a wonderful time looking through his portfolio and I bought a gorgeous sketch for my daughter. Salim also introduced me to his mother who cooked a lovely meal, which we are watching the sun set from the rooftop. Magical!

A wonderful old haveli in the middle of the old part of the city. The manager, Bilal, was such a lovely attentive, respectful and helpful man. Also very good to talk with. Many helpful suggestions and gave good advice. I felt as if I could ask him, anything. His wife is the most amazing cook and I enjoyed her food every day for breakfast and dinner. Her chappatis are the lightest and softest I have ever eaten. Bilal arranged tours and ongoing transport for me. His friends and other workers were friendly , polite and respectful. The owner is also a good man and interesting, an accomplished photographer.

M.I guesthouse is a lovely option for budget travelers and backpackers who visit bikanr. it's located on one the many alleys in old bikaner right near the beautiful havelis so you can experience traditional indian way of life from up close. seth the owner and salman his helper are very nice and generous people who will assist you with everything you need, so i immediately felt at home with them. the room was simple and comfortable, ac and wifi worked great, so it was great value for money. they can prepare for you breakfast, lunch and dinner and there are some tables and chairs in the common area where you can eat and relax. overall a very good experience for me and i recommend it to all those budget travelers who would like to experience for themselves authentic old bikaner
