Jodhpur is an interesting historic city with a magnificent fort towering over the old blue city. The area around the clocktower has numerous bazaars and places to stay and eat, great for shopping and exploring. Jodhpur offers wonderful local handcrafts and is worth visiting for this alone. The old blue city can be reached by foot from the clocktower area and it is worth wandering through the narrow laneways and alleys to get a sense of history and living in this part of Rajasthan.Guest review byMyersThailand - 6.0

the Mehrangarh fort, the Umaid Palace was worth it. Some restaurants were good. Shopping is great if you have time to look at many stires. The tax drivers take a cut by taking you to their know shopping places - please avoid and do your own research. But this place sits in the heart of the original old blue city. It is a grand old building hidden in the small walk ways of the old city. It is 500 years old and the interior is just as amazing as the views. If you want a 5 star hotel then this isn't for you if you want to stay in a location with amazing views and amazing access to the fort and the old city and a photographers dream location then this is it. The Haveli is so beautiful and recently renovated and run by the most hospitable people you will meet in India. Prafful who runs it is so kind and gave us all the best food recommendations and helped organise all our travel. You will feel at home in the B&B. Rooms are clean, modern, and very comfortable AC.
