The local cuisine at the home stay is exceptional . The owner is very courteous and goes out of his way to arrange all that his guests require of him. He is also a great raconteur and knows the history, myths and folklore of the place. He is very rooted and invested in his community and deeply concerned about ethical business practices. I Highly recommend the place.

Probably the best chilles out place you get in kohima... It is a true hostel and the host is amazing... Thanks Theja for such a great experience... The hostel is centrally located and the night market is just 50metres... You have easy access to cabs, cafes and markets around... Internet connection is pretty good and one can consider for workation... A 10/5 experience. Gonna get back next year during the hornbill ❤❤

Staying with Christi was one of the highlights of my travels. A delightful, warm and smiling hostess whose aim is her guest's happiness. Fluent English so we had some wonderful, interesting conversations - I learned a lot about Angami culture and history of the region. Don't miss her cooking which is FABULOUS ... full of flavour, easy on the spice. The accomodation is good value - a large room with shared bathroom with plenty of hot water. About a 25 minute walk to Bamboo Mkt. Maple Homestay is priced for the budget traveller (shared bathroom) but her hospitality and cooking should be a draw for all budgets.
