The cottage was clean and they put an extra double bed for us, as we were 4. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen, although it was small, had everything we needed to cook a meal. The location is excellent and we had no trouble getting in. Everything went great!

Wonderful hotel, it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The receptionist, Octavian, was super helpful and kind. The room, although small, had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. The restaurant was very nice. Waking up and seeing the Skogafoss waterfall from our window was beautiful.

This hotel is at the foot of a stunning hill next to the Drangshlid rock. The pictures don't do it justice—it's so much more beautiful in person. It's right off the highway and only a minute's drive from the amazing Skógafoss. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Breakfast was beyond expectations, and you get to access the dining hall all day with a stunning view for coffee and tea. I couldn't be happier with my stay!

The location was surreal, breathtaking view. The bungalow is fully equipped, super clean, beautifullly decorated. Very cosy and comfortable. We were able to cook dinner, breakfast and prepare our take away meals for the day, we only regretted not staying longer there. Would definitely recommend it and rebook it.

    The so-called “self-checkin” was a disaster.

The so-called “self-checkin” was a disaster. Two other couples arrived at the same time as us, and none of us had any idea how to find our gain access to our rooms. There was a free phone “help line in the foyer but that went straight to voicemail. We luckily ran into an American couple who had checked in the previous day, and they advised how the system worked. They said that I would get an email from our agent (booking.com). I said I had checked the evening before and there was nothing. They advised that this notification was only sent out a couple of hours before planned check in - which I would rate as useless, since many travellers rely on the WiFi provided at their hotel, and ther was no indication of how to get onto the WiFi on arrival. A “staff member” eventually arrived, but he could hardly speak English (he was apparently Bulgarian) and he was no help. He also refused to carry my girlfriend’s suitcase upstairs (there was no elevator), claiming a bad back (which miraculously healed up when we left). The shower was a joke. You literally had to run around to get wet. The were a small number of needle-thin jets, with low water-pressure. The toilet seat was a cheap plastic thing, the sort of style you would expect to see in a back-packer’s. The was only one dispenser on the shower, to cover soap and shampoo. There was a balcony, but the lock on the door didn’t work, making a potential security risk. The hotel came up in a search for hotels in Vik, but was about 60k’s away (however that turned out to be a plus for us. All in all, the way the hotel was run seemed to focus on providing the minimum at the lowest possible cost. No customer focus at all. There was a TV but we could not get it to work at all. Maybe it would have worked if we had some sort of streaming service contract (I.e Prime or Netflix, etc) but we don’t have any of them.
