United StatesGorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous villa. The pictures do not do it justice. The villa has just such a wonderful vibe. Location, location, location. The views are spectacular. The architecture of the villa is amazing. Wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows. Super clean. Villa was comfortable and warm. Fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. Washer and dryer available. Comfortable beds. Dining table was huge. Hot Tub! Convenient location between sites in south Iceland. Great communication with host. We were a family of 6.

This is an amazing place to hike and see some glorious views - especially on a clear day - which can be a bit tricky. We were extremely fortunate to have some of the the sunniest days recorded. Could not ask for a more comfortable hike. There are glacier hikes that you can pay for but honestly parking at the Park and hiking up yourself is something you will not soon forget. Not too laborious, but you defintely feel like you are exercising. Loved every minute of this hike and I wish I could have stayed longer.Guest review bymaryUnited States

It is very well located, just outside Skaftafell National Park. The surroundings are beautiful - just behind the hotel you can pick up a trail to a fantastic viewpoint of the glacier, with almost no people (but you need not stay in the hotel for that). If you can, go late afternoon or evening. The room was very basic, but nice and clean. Breakfast was nice, with wonderful bread. The hotel restaurant was excellent with gourmet cuisine. Other excellent feature was that you can ask to be called on the room phone if there are any Northern Lights! Unfortunately there weren't any while we were there but it was nice to know we wouldn't miss them if there were. Also, small hike from the hotel to a small glacier nearby really recommended.
