The lodge is really cosy, clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing, really friendly and helpful with lots of advice for sightseeing. The food is delicious, but pricey like everywhere in Iceland :) The outdoor jacuzzi was a bonus, a lovely way to relax after a day of sightseeing

I had a room in the former cowshed with my own bathroom. Beautiful room, friendly staff and lovely meals. Off the beaten track -makes Nyp a special place to stay.

Luxury beds and power showers are offered at Hótel Egilsen. Baldur Ferry Terminal and boats to the West Fjords and Flatey island are 300 metres away. Wi-Fi is free.

Perfect experience! The cute traditional-yet newly renovated and very comfortable hotel is located in the beautiful old port. People working there were super nice and provided us with great recommendations. Nice breakfast :)

Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. The room was clean and tidy. Perfet location. Very freindly and kind staff and very good breakfast. We will definately come back to this amazing hotel.

This is a charming small guesthouse with just a few rooms. Communication with the hosts was quick and efficient and the welcome was extremely friendly. Our room with a great view of the little harbour and the island with the lighthouse was cosy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast (15 € per person) was plenty and tasty. The room rates aren't low but the accommodation offers good value for money. Stykkisholmur with its old traditional houses is a pretty small fishing town well worth a visit.

Featuring city views, Hótel Karólína in Stykkishólmur provides accommodation and a shared lounge. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property.

It was the perfect blend of old house charm with modern amenities. The kitchen and living rooms were very inviting and the owner was a lovely woman and very interesting to speak with.

Excellent location. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Easy to self check in. Well thought out accommodation with excellent facilities for guests. Extremely comfortable. Plenty of space. Beds were extremely comfortable. My son slept in a bunk and us in a double. We all slept well. Stykkisholmur itself is a fascinating village on so many levels.

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom.

Check-in process wasn't done by the owner, but (probably) her dog. It showed us around the property, which is lovely (so is the dog!). I learned about Helgafell and the Saga related a bit before our arrival by reading about Gudrunarlaug, and when I saw that we would be staying literally at THE Helgafell I was super happy. I really felt connected to the tales (which I absolutely love). Other than that, the place is super nice, modern and cozy. Near the main city and close enough to all main attractions on the peninsula. I recommend!
