What We prefered was location of the house ! 10 minutes from Pisa, 15 minutes from Beach and Verragio, 20 minutes from Forte de Marmi. One hour from Firenze. House was Perfect ! Clean with all Equipment. Mario (the owner) is a five star person. You can park 2 cars in the house

Beautiful location for a stay but tricky to access to snd from Torre del Lago Puccini Festival, given landslide. Best to enter from Lucca and great for stay rather than one night. Delightful property, very helpful staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful room.

Very friendly and welcoming country house hotel in a great location close to Lucca. The reception staff, waiters and in fact everyone were utterly superb. Went out of their way to look after us. We particularly enjoyed our two key waiters who were both funny and professional. It was a pleasure to stay.

A beautiful villa-style hotel with lots of character in a lovely location. The staff are simply superb: friendly, helpful, accommodating. A great buffet breakfast is provided every day, evening meals are possible too (shoulder and peak season). The pool area is great too (not open when we stayed, before peak season). Perfect for short or long stays.

The lady working there is lovely although you need to speak Italian to communicate. There is air conditioning in each room and the cleaner comes in every day to clean.

Location is excellent: just a few metres from the lake, the outdoor opera theatre, and bus stop to Viareggio or the beach. I loved the friendly staff and the bar and restaurant were very good.

    We love Lucca.

    We love Lucca. But travelling with a dog and the difficulty of overnight parking in a city this is a wonderful alternative. Massaciuccoli is a huge lake surrounded by vineyards and tiny villages and our wonderful hotel Le Rotunde. It's only 15 minutes to both Lucca and Viareggio so the best of all worlds. There are lots of restaurants and services in the area and to spend the day touristing and then return to the peace and quiet of the lake area is a joy. The food at Le Rotunde is amazing and we found it hard not to return to the hotel and dine in the quiet countryside then go for a walk around the lake with the dog.

    This is a beautiful area, charming village and access to the lake was super easy...2 min. walk. The lake has an amazing boardwalk out onto the lake and you can see fish and birds surrounded by tall reeds. Fascinating!

    Beautiful hotel minutes walk to Lake Massacciucoli, beautiful manicured grounds, a pool for the summer and located in a village just 20min. from Lucca. Perfect for children and dogs. The room was good sized with a huge balcony. The breakfast (eggs too!) was a delight...but dinner...oh my...just scrumptious...perfectly prepared and beautifully served.

    Perfectly located for a birdwatcher, literally one minute walk from the entrance to Oasi Lipu Massaciuccoli. The hotel itself was really nice, nothing to complain about. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

    The personnel was very friendly. The owner even drove us to the nearest bus stop (3 kilometers away) when leaving the hotel. Some of the dinners were really tasty.
