Morbegno is a convenient place to stay in the Valtellina area. We travelled here from Menaggio on Lake Como . On the way we went on a small detour to see the Acquafraggia waterfalls and the amazing Palazzo Vertamate Franchi. We took a nice day trip from Morbegno to the Gerola Alta to visit the Bitto cheese museum . When departing we were needing to get to Tirano in the morning to get on the spectacular Bernina Express train. This was a convenient place to travel from .Guest review bySimonAustralia - 10.0

From the second we arrived, we loved our stay. The hosts were extremely gracious and accommodating, the "palace" and grounds were simultaneously ancient and beautifully renovated and clean.
