The accommodations were beautiful abdvthe host very attentive. The town is fairly chaotic with lots of folks arriving by train. You need a car to find a quiet beach. The town comes alive at 9pm. ancient town up the hill, more modern town at the bottom, there is a bus that runs up and down, you need to phone for it. small charge. 2.50 euros a trip. Its a really charming town at the top, very atmospheric and at the bottom the town is a working town, I liked it and the beach is very close just beyond the station. Lovely people in this town, its small but friendly. European visitors must be made aware that life comes to stop from 1pm -3 30 pm during the week and everything closes on Saturdays at lunchtime until Monday! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best and so couldn’t make use of the outdoor seating and unfortunately there is no indoor lounge area. Located at the top end of town with easy access by car from the main roads, we would suggest not driving into the middle of town as the roads are very narrow with no parking. The beach is just a short walk away with enough space and beach beds provided free of charge once you are a hotel ( Villagio) resident.
