I lead Exclusive Sicily Tours and I am always looking for awesome places all over Sicily. Baroon Bistrot is a sweet B&B in the center of town. I love the way it's decorated (with excellent taste) and it's squeaky clean. What's important to me is location, cleanliness, food, and service. Baroon Bistrot hits the mark on every single one. The really nice owner, Stefano, was born and raised in Polizzi Generosa and after being abroad for several years, came back to his roots. I LOVE it when Sicilians come back to Sicily and invest and believe in Sicily. He opened a B&B and downstairs has a restaurant since he is a Chef 👩‍🍳. Delicious 🤤 food with local ingredients. A couple sitting next to us was telling me they drove 2 hours just to have dinner there and that they do this very often. It’s their favorite restaurant. Stefano provides beautiful itineraries! Picking Chestnuts 🌰 , wild mushrooms 🍄, cooking 🥘 classes, visiting farms to see how they make fresh ricotta cheese 🧀 and olive 🫒 oil. And you get to stay in his B&B. This is as authentic as it gets. This is Sicily. Highly recommend this B&B for anyone staying in Polizzi Generosa or surrounding areas.

A wonderfully unique experience! Not camping but Glamping! Simona and Enzo were perfect hosts. Simona made us a lovely evening meal and a great egg and bacon breakfast. This is a small but beautifully looked after glamping site with BBQ areas, fresh water, attractive toilet facility building and plenty of outdoor seating areas to watch the sunset. The restaurant and bar is small and lovely with a rustic feel but with beer, wine and homemade liqueurs to try too!

    We stayed just outside of the town (downhill quite a long way), but the drive through the town looked very interested and it would have been nice to stay there and explore. The location is stunning as the town is perched on a very high rock with views down to the surrounding countryside and mountains. There are several good restaurants to enjoy although we did not use any ourselves. We only stayed in the area for one night, but there are mountains to explore so two nights would have been more relaxed.

    Polizzi is a tiny, quiet town in a gorgeous location. I had a special interest in being there because ancestors came from there and I was doing some research. The town is charming and worth a short visit, but is not a “tourist town.” Restaurants served excellent food. You can access the entire town on foot. Walking involves lots of hills and steps - great exercise! I would not recommend driving in the very narrow streets! There are hikes in the area.

    Our stay in a guesthouse just outside town didn't allow for in-town sightseeing time, but the Modani Mountains locale itself is breathtaking--wonderful scenery, great complement to other Sicilian charms we saw over two weeks.

    A lovely agri-turismo place run by a delightful friendly family (and supervised by their two laid-back dogs!)I would highly recommend a stay here. Stunning views from the terraced garden of the nearby hill town of Polizzi Generosa and over the mountainous countryside. We particularly enjoyed the delicious home- cooked dinners made with ingredients from the farm or produced locally, and meeting guests from other countries at breakfast and dinner.

    The room is spacious, quiet and dark. Bed is comfortable. The room is nice than it shows on the booking pictures. The host was very relaxed and friendly. The best part is the restaurant downstairs owned by the same guy. very authentic. Polizzi Generosa is a super small, cute village on the top of a hill with beautiful views all around. Perfect base for hiking in the area.

    The location is superb! Far away from mass tourism at the coast. Pietro and his mother are super friendly and always helping. The nearby town of Polizzi Generosa is just great and so authentic. The dinners are great, somple home cooking but amazing fresh ingredients from their garden!

    Very good homemade breakfast. Friendly host. Beautiful spacious clean room and comfy bed. The view from the window was of the large garden. I think that May was a perfect time to visit Polizzi Generosa, green valleys and lots of flowers everywhere, warm but not too hot!
