The service was great, as was the communication. My train was delayed, but I could still come in late and the host prepared me a delicious local dinner! Tortelli with pumkin and also a variant with cherries!! I enjoyed this possibility to discover some local dishes! The locanda is situated 5 walking minutes from the train station, which is great for when you arrive with public transport. The next day I walked to Mantova (1 hour walk) instead of taking public transport there, which for the scenery I might not specifically recommend. The host even sent me the recipes for the food after my stay, because I enjoyed it so much, I will definitely make it myself in memory of this place!

Really central location but still very quiet. Easy to park. Friendly English (and multi lingual) speaking receptionist. Clean room. Lovely Continental breakfast (bread, cheese, cold meat, pastries, cereal, coffee, juice, yoghurt). And Mantua is simply beautiful.

    This small town makes a good spot from which you can make...

    This small town makes a good spot from which you can make excursions into the larger historic city of Mantova. The people were friendly and welcoming. We discovered one main restaurant called Le Scuderie which had a large menu and excellent food.

    The hotel is very nice in a quiet place. The breakfast is really really delicious, one of the best we ever had, with a lot of typical products and homemade cakes. We can only reccomend this hotel.

    Very good buffet breakfast! From a bus stop very close to the hotel, there is once an hour (during day time) a bus going to the city centre of Mantua in about 20 minutes which is very convenient.
