Porto Pollo is in an excellent position on the north coast...
Porto Pollo is in an excellent position on the north coast of Gallura Sardegna. Not only are the beaches excellent, but it is easy to access the entire north coast from Cervo to Palau/ Maddelena as well as St Theresa for ferries to Corsica. There are many restaurants which are quite close, vineyards for wine tasting and small towns reflecting the true heart and soul of the area. Local tours ( we utilized Tours by Locals) give an added appreciation for the history and culture of the island and are highly recommended. Visitors are not overwhelmed by over inundation of the usual Roman architecture...but rather more of a middle age and Napoleonic 18th,19th and 20th century exposure to the area... Porto Pollo is a great area in the Northern part of Sardinia, immerse in nature and offers so many activities (from windsurfing/wingsurfing and kitesurfing, to mountain biking, kayaking, SUP, hiking, ...you can do anything) Palau, the main town nearby, which also connects you to the other islands has all the main services.
