Praiano is a great location to stay in the Amalfi coast for viewing spectacular sunrises & sunsets, and if you want to avoid the crazy crowds in Amalfi & Positano as it is sandwiched between these two major tourist destinations in the Amalfi Coast. It is much cheaper to stay in Praiano, but relying on Public transportation is a real hardship if you don’t have a car or bike/scooter. For that reason, Maiori and Minori are much better locations that provide the same calm, affordability and easy access as Praiano. You definitely need a degree of fitness for getting up and down stairs both to the property and to the beach . However the views are stunning and the location very peaceful . We enjoyed Praiano immensely and would make that our home base if we were ever to come back. We found a few very nice restaurants with lovely staff and delicious food. Went down the 400 hundred steps to the lovely beach with aqua blue water. Getting around is a bit of a challenge with all the steps. We enjoyed the challenge. Praiano is away from the hustle and bustle of Positano -...
Praiano is away from the hustle and bustle of Positano - pretty much unspoiled by tourists. It’s small and quiet but that adds to the beauty and charm of the place. There are still lots of locals there who you will see on a daily basis. They are so friendly and welcoming. The views are outstanding. Favourite places to eat included Bar del Sole (great aperitivo) Le Strada for lemon pasta and Che Bonta for pizza. Bus is regular and takes you to Amalfi and Positano.Guest review byChloeNew Zealand

Praiano is a great location for Amalfi Coast travelling, cheaper and right in between Positano and Amalfi, and this hotel is right on the main road in which the bus travels. The proximity to the bus stop (2-3min) was very handy. The room and restaurant view were the best part. The breakfast was okay - very good cappuccino.
