location is perfect. just across the train station, very close to the ferry station. If you are with a baby, don't go to other hotels. just stay here. even though it's an old hotel, it was very clean.. comfortable bed, good breakfast and great staff. it was worth every penny!

Reasonable breakfast which included a basic variety of products. Quality was good. We checked-out before the breakfast opening hours and the receptionists were waiting us with two breakfast bags. Nice gesture. We had a car and paid a reasonable price for underground parking (I think around 8€ for first day and 6€ thereafter). Hotel itself only had a solarium but had an agreement with a private beach located 15min walk away, €10 per seat, with very good beach quality and spectacular ciews. The hotel was located ~ 20min walk away from Salerno city centre and 30 min drive from Amalfi and surroundings. Reasonable room price considering peak season. Room was clean and we had a balcony with gorgeous sea-view and towards the Amalfi cost.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mediterranean Hotel. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and spotless, and the location makes it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. A special mention goes to Gianluca, who truly made a difference during my stay. He was not only super nice and attentive, but also highly competent and professional. His helpful attitude and genuine kindness made me feel right at home. I would definitely recommend the Mediterranean Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable experience.

Perfect location, very close to the train station and port for the ferries around amalfi coast. The room was comfortable and very clean, there is an AC in the room and the coffee nachine in the common area. They also provide breakfast (coffee and buns) in the coffee bar downstairs.

    I absolutely loved how welcoming the host was — they helped us throughout our stay and even turned into our personal tour guide! They shared so many useful tips that really helped us plan our trip better. The kitchen was so well-equipped, making it super easy to prepare a nice breakfast every morning. The room itself was cute, spacious, and beautifully done. Plus, the location is perfect — easily accessible and very close to the ferry port for Amalfi, Capri, and Positano. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable stay and warm hospitality!

    Salerno is a port city, medium size city with direct link via high speed train to Rome, Florence and other cities in Italy. This city is used as a cruise city port for those who want to explore the Amalfi coast and is much more afordable to stay here and use the ferry or boat tours to explore the region.

    There is an excellent train service to all parts from Salerno, we went to Naples a couple of times and to Sorrento. We also took the train to Sicily, a really good experience as it was mainly on or near to the coast and there was always something to see. We had planned a couple of other visits but unfortunately we encountered several train strikes!!! Should you visit Salerno then you must see the fabulous cathedral (duomo) crypt, apparently it took 600 years to complete! Although not religious we have visited so many churches etc over the years but this was exceptional. Be aware that the airport only has a few flights each day and closes at 2200. Our late flight was delayed and we were herded outside onto the runway area where it was very windy and chilly to await the flight so the staff could shut the main area down!!!!

    Salerno is a great place to stay if you are visiting the Amalfi coast. Salerno is central for trains, buses and ferries. We rented a private boat for a day cruise along the Amalfi coast. Absolutely amazing. We rented the boat from Blue Dream Rental Boats.

    We really loved all the cultural and historic places within the city and especially enjoyed the walkway along the ocean. As vegetarians, we appreciated the number and variety of restaurants and types of food available; in fact, we enjoyed some of the best Indian food we've ever had. We also liked the pedestrian friendly area in the city center, the availability of public transportation, and the general affordability of Salerno.

    Old Salerno was very nice.

    Old Salerno was very nice. Great location for ferries, busses and the train. Although busses are a challenge for the journeys up the coast. We ate at Taverna Santa Maria De Domno. Via M.Salernitano 63/69. Salerno. It was a perfect spot for dinner. Great food! Great service and reasonably priced. Best restaurant so far on this trip!

    Contemporary hotel with clean large rooms ,comfortable beds and given the central location very quiet , staff were welcoming ,attentive and helpful small items such as the coffee and sweet bowl at reception added a more personal touch and the included breakfast was enjoyable with both italian and "western" tastes catered for , overall a hotel well worth consideration for any length of stay in Salerno

    Perfect location, 3 min walk to the train station and 5 min walk to the ferry to grab tickets and go out to Almafi and the other coasts. Easy access to great food within walking distance to the hotel- we found the best gelato, seafood, pane & prosciutto, & burger within Salerno!

    Very good service, Carlo drove us from the railway station to the apartment and then back to the station when we were leaving from Salerno. The apartment was very nice and spacious and has a good location.
