This was a high-quality property with a lovely spa! It is nearby all mass transportation, including ferries. This is the best place to stay if you are going to see Santa Margarita or Portifino. Portofino is a 15 minute ferry or bus away, you can also walk there if you want it was so nice to eat so close to the train station when we got there and so nice to be able to get on the train to leave also the bus and are both right out front!

Nice town with much to do in town and nearby. Go to Rapallo by train and take the aerial tram to see the church and eat at the restaurant with the most beautiful terrace about 200 yards through the trees on a path of enlightenment. Go have a drink by the castle for a lively scene and view.

Lovely sea side town. Very good ferry link for Portofino. Nice shops and good restaurants and are more reasonably priced than Portofino yet only takes 15 mins to travel there by boat. We went end of season in late September and there were a lot of locals swimming and enjoying the sea. I didn't get chance to walk between the 2 resorts but it looked flat and easy. Highly recommend a visit on the ferry to Santa Fruttuoso - stunning. can get busy when a big cruise ship arrives in town. The harbour is interesting and lots to see and people watch. some of the yachts are impressive!

We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and watched the sunset from the marina. We also visited the local shops and ate dinner in the restaurant next door which was excellent. We enjoyed the sunrise from our terrace. The pool was open but it is outside and unheated, so it was too cool to swim.

It was not as hectic as some nearby villages. But had easy access to the Cinque Terre by the train pass. Beautiful & clean. Lively atmosphere in the evening. Prices were a bit more reasonable as well.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino. Relaxed and laidback. Promenade with lots of restaurants. Great beach. Ferry or bus to other villages. Feels Italian, not as pricey and touristy as Portofino.

Lovely little coastal town.

Lovely little coastal town. We had two nights here which was just the right amount. The highlight was the beautiful coastal walk to Portofino and we then took the ferry back to see the coastline from the sea. The town has some lovely restaurants and cafes and some beautiful but pricey boutiques.

My wife and I stayed for three nights for our wedding anniversary. I'm so pleased we stayed here; the hotel is absolutely stunning. Full of beautifully decorated bars and restaurants . The breakfast options were fantastic and the bridge/steps down to the beach/restaurants equally wonderful. Our room had a lovely view across the bay looking towards Portofino. I glad we chose to stay here in Santa Margherita rather than in Portofino - so much more to do

We spent 2 nights at Plan Sea, and it was a delightful stay. Not to mention that the host Federico went above and beyond that our stay in SM would be great, he gave us the best recommendations what to see, what are the best beaches and where to eat. He even booked for us restaurant, and it was exceptional. Definitely will come back to Santa Margherita and visit Plan Sea again. Sangria is as everyone in reviews are talking- the best!

Everything! What a brilliant location, the best views from your balcony ever, overlooking the sea and the town of Santa Margherita. The hotel staff could not do enough for you. We had a slight issue with the bathroom and they sorted it straightaway. They were all so friendly and helpful, I can't praise them enough.
