Santa Maria Navarrese is a lovely little with a great local vibe - not too touristy. Access to the best of the Baunei coast is brilliant and the town has some fabulous eateries and resturants to suit all budgets and tastes. We loved eating and people watching at Mac Puddu's. The best pizza in town was Su Forra. We took a day boat trip with Nautica and had Mauro as our guide - He was brilliant. We could always find a free spot in the parking when we stayed in the beginning of October. The breakfast started early which turned out to be very important if you are going to do any hiking due to the hot weather.
