The room was unbelievably clean. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and very helpful, they even helped me fixing my suitcase. The breakfast was amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious, multiple savory and sweet options were available. The parking was easily accessible. The neighborhood was very quiet and relaxing. Too bad I couldn’t stay longer. I will be definitely coming back!

This place just made our stay in Sicily. Daniele was very friendly and funny, he made us a lovely breakfast with croissants and the best cappuccinos. We enjoyed this with an amazing view on the balcony. The apartment is very clean and in an excellent location, close to Bar Vitelli and a lovely focaccia place just steps away. Everything in Savoca is within walking distance and Daniele even gave us recommendations. Nothing was too much hassle for him. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Although not far from the coast, but in a small quiet village away from the tourist traffic, with a real country life :) Clean, spacious and comfortable accommodation. Nice design and functional as well. With a lot of lovely details; you can see that the owner likes the place and and wants guests to feel good there. We just spent one peaceful evening and night in a wonderful atmosphere. Reserved place for parking right next to the apartment. Everything for cooking yourself. Last but not least: nice surprise on the table. :) Easy check-in, check-out, very nice and helpful host. Grazie mile, Antonella!

The location, the hosts, the property and facilities all were first class. The house seemed to be newly decorated, bright and clean. Equipment seemed new. The view when eating breakfast on the veranda was spectacular. Host met us to show us around and lent us their parking permit which saved parking costs. Parked less than 100 metres from the property.We ate at pippispezzi restaurant, and visited bar vitelli. Hosts left us orange juice, milk,butter ,croissants ,coffee, yoghurt , jam and crispbread. Nice people.

The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the little balcony over the town was lovely. The town becomes very peaceful in the evening and early morning which was just magical. Breakfast was amazing, our choice of anything from the bar. The staff were very attentive and it was a wonderful place to stay.

Everything! Location is excellent, in the centre of the town. Walk to everything. The property is so comfortable, we could easily stay longer. So peaceful, a perfect getaway! The owner was so friendly and arranged a transfer for us to travel to Messina the next day.

Such a wonderful stay in Marino Wellness! The hotel is completely new renovated, the rooms have a lot of space&comfort, including a balcony straight to the seaside, perfect to spend a romantic evening and to wake up with a great view! The staff is super professional,everyone is speaking fluently English and help you with anything you have. I needed a glass for wine, a bottle opener and they organized everything for me within few minutes. Grazie. The pool is super clean, you have a lot of space to relax and enjoy sunbathing with really nice music. The dinner was excellent and the bartender+ cook were extraordinary attentive! The hotel is located DIRECTLY in front of the sea and has a small supermarket next to it, just in case you desire something more. Forget about the nightlife in this small town, there is none, but it's the perfect place to relax your soul. I will come back for sure and recommend the hotel to my family&friends. Thank you so much!

Owners are superb - they meet you at the entrance and the family/owners are so sweet and friendly, yet they respect your privacy and not clingy. Room was super clean and towels and all changed every day. Spacious room with parking within our view - which was a bonus since car was used to store shopping!:). Within walking distance to the sea, a drive from Toarmina but still worth.

    Beautiful little hilltop village, great location and scenic views with some history. Reasonable number of good dining options but it's not a busy 'resort'. We loved it, but noted that others had commented that there wasn't enough to do in the village in the evenings - too quiet apparently. Probably best enjoyed with access to a car, but limited bus options if on foot.

    Savoca is a lovely village with a lot of traditional charm, beautiful walks and interesting history. We found the people there very genuine and welcoming. The food was delicious. Very easy to explore on foot. A great place for godfather fans but you will have a lovely time even if you’re not interested in the films.

    If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca...

    If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca is the place for you. A little off the beaten track but such a picturesque part of Sicily. Be warned, you can walk the entire town in a morning and pretty much explore everything it has to offer. But if scenery, friendly people and getting away from it all are what you are after you will be hard pushed to find somewhere better. It does get very hot in summer and due to the filming of some of The Godfather here you do get the odd coach load of tourists turn up for a photo of Bar Vitelli and to do the wedding walk. That said, the town is that small that once you have spent a couple of days here you almost feel like a local and if people watching is your thing, then a cold beer and an ice cream in the square can while away a couple of hours. There are a couple of decent restaurants here too, but they are not open every day. Let's just say that very quickly you begin to realise that this slow way of life might not be such a bad thing. There are a couple of souvenir shops in the main square (if you can call it that), but they are not in your face. And if you walk up to the Saint Nicolas church make sure you stop off at Andrea's olive oil shop. All in all, Savoca is a tiny piece of Italy (Sicily) that you won't regret visiting.

    For sure it had to be classified as one of the most...

    For sure it had to be classified as one of the most beautiful "Borgi" of Italian historic villages (Sicily). The old , quiet village looks like a Nativity crib, especially at night with its dim lightning and charming Savocans! The story behind Francis Copolla's "The Godfather" makes it more intresting. I was very disappointed with the over-priced and money-miser approach of Bar Vitelli...... if you do not sit down and but an expensive Granita .... circa 8 Euro oer person than to just have a photo you are charged 5 euro. But ignoring Bar Vitelli ill-effect approach, Savoca offers wonderful walks, charming atmosphere and scenery, great vinotecas (Wine bars) and places to eat. It is a place to supreme relaxation away from bustling city noise, eventhough on Wednesday a lots of tourists invade the village.

    Verdello Home is a wonderful place to stay. Excellent new accommodation and gracious, caring lovely hosts. Situated near the Sea and a short distance to the village of Savoca which is charming, has beautiful vistas, and excellent restaurants.

    I picked this area because it has the iconic Godfather...

    I picked this area because it has the iconic Godfather locations such as Bar Vitelli and the church from where Michael gets married in part one, being a huge Godfather fan this place was just perfect, very authentic to Sicily and an absolutely stunning view all over, I would definitely go back to Sicily and 100% stay in Savoca

    Spacious and extremely clean rooms with terrace, spotless bathroom, soft towels, shower with very strong watter pressure, free safe parking behind the hotel and very polite and responsive staff. If you stay here and have a car, dont miss to visit a village Savoca, only 3km away, uphill. Go early, before tourist crowds and enoy a walk thru the village where the first Godfather was fiilmed.

    The location, view, food and ambiance were all amazing. We were lucky enough to be met by Vittorio himself, and were very privileged to get the chance to make lunch with him in the hotel kitchen, we produced a tomato, red onion and herb salad. This is what he did with BBC presenter Clive Myrie when he filmed there, we also got free wine and bread, and we ate it with him.

    We stayed for 2 nights during out roadtrip, the Host was amazing , very accomodating and Always available via WhatsApp whenever we needed. WE were 10 min away from Savoca and 20 min from Taormina by car. The house was clean with a fridge for each Guess and also breakfast available (coffee, juive, sweet pastries). Thank you so much
