This is the place to stay in Stresa. Fabulous quiet views over the lake. The views and tranquility were only surpassed by the friendly , professional staff. Carlo, manager ,and the rest of the team , assisted with everything we needed - locations to visit , gaining tickets and arranging transport . They provide an incredible tasty breakfast , and you will not have to eat until dinner ! The facility is spacious , clean and has self contained kitchen facilities. The added bonus for any traveller is the laundry facility on- site. On the street waterfront , the local restaurants and shops are at your footstep .

The staff were incredible-I had read some previous reviews about the staff but could not believe how outstanding they all were. One person in particular who sticks in my memory is Alexander who works at the bar-he is a real asset to your hotel. The breakfast was also sublime

The front desk staff were exceptional. I counted at least 4 languages spoken with ease. The one young blonde front desk lady was very good at answering questions and explaining the advantages of the region. Every staff member encountered were polite with strong customer service skills - from front desk to dining room to housekeeping to maintenance. The Maître d’ was very accommodating to guests yet the dining room was run with precision. The room had an outstanding view of the lake and the mountains. What a pleasure it was to wake up to that every morning. The breakfast was varied from hot to cold fare and every guest I saw left with smiles on their faces. The test of any hotel is if guests would want to return. This guest definitely would!!

Great location in STRESA center, 5 minutes walk from the train station and a few minutes more to the ferry terminal. Supermarket CONAD nearby, a few minutes walk. Very clean, very nice staff. I had the single room but it is more spacious than in most places, even has a small closet with many hangers. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The free breakfast has more variety than usual: muesli, cereals, bread, jam, cheese, ham, juices, yogurt, hard-boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit mix.

    Stresa has some lovely spots, fantastic old hotels, lovely promenade, lots of places to eat. Quite a lot of construction work going on and some additional work needed, I hope they restore all of the old villas as it is sad to see them looking derelict. Fantastic day trips on the ferry, Isola Bella Palace, Mombello bucket lift and Villa Taranto gardens, all really lovely days out. Don't know why all tourist info/maps show the Mottarone Cable car, this has been closed since the tragic accident about 7 years ago and it is misleading. You need to get a paper ferry timetable to work out your day trips, much easier.

    It’s nice, a bit touristy but nice.

    It’s nice, a bit touristy but nice. Great for Isola Bella of course. Love the ferry service from Stresa. The hub of Lake Maggiore. Had a really good time in Stresa, Canobio and in the north of the lake, Locarno and Ascona in Switzerland.

    Stresa is a resort hotspot.

    Stresa is a resort hotspot. Mostly hotels, more hotels, loads of restaurants. However the Borromean islands by Stresa were 100% worth the 2 days we stayed there. One day we spent exploring the islands, the other we spent walking around, dining, relaxing and observing the multiple weddings that were taking place all around town (we counted five weddings on one day!). Cute place for a short stay. If you want a longer stay, set base in Verbania or get a car to drive around Lago Maggiore (we went without a car and did not rent one).

    We visited Stresa 25 years ago and had a throughly enjoyable time. This time around was similar, the whole area is fabulous. There are fewer boat services than previously but the super Viaggi Tomassucci Stresa Travel Agency provide an excellent service and can advise on alternatives.

    We have been visiting Stresa annually for 17 years, mainly for personal reasons and to visit friends. It is a beautiful location, compact and with plenty of things to do and see. It has grown in popularity over time and is now very busy, bordering on "over- touristed".There are plenty of great restaurants that serve food at reasonable prices. The downside is that it is now almost obligatory to do your homework and book your choice of activity or restaurant in advance. Most travelers/guests stay for one or two days and are just passing through or on guided tours which makes it difficult to experience all that Stresa has to offer, but for people that don't know it, we would highly recommend a visit.

His passion for hosting is evident, and he's a genuinely nice person who is eager to share his extensive knowledge of the city. On top of that, his home is absolutely stunning—spacious, bright, impeccably clean, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. I highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Stresa.

    the best location in stresa!!! the apartments are in a great location. very clean and well equipment. The host greeted us. the hot tub was great and the roof top terrace a perfect place to relax for breakfast/afternoon drinks. I managed to leave our passports behind. the amazing host reunited us with the passport by driving to our hotel in Milan!!! if you are going to Stresa stay here!

    From the moment you stepped inside the hotel you were greeted by the warm and friendly staff. Throughout the property it was impeccably clean. Had a lovely view from my balcony of Lake Maggiore. Breakfast was lovely. You were in the heart of the town with minutes from the hotel. 5 minute walk from bus stop to hotel.
