A rather sad little town.
A rather sad little town. It felt that a more lively life had passed it by. None of the elements we were looking for - lively food culture so for example there were only pizzerias and seemingly no other kinds of food available even such as pasta dishes. No fresh food on sale as the few shops we found seemed to only sell packages of highly processed food. No evidence anywhere of the much vaunted Mediterranean diet. We had to travel to other places to get a sense of a more expected Italian culture. We thought as time went on that the large areas of dead olive groves in the surrounding area probably meant that the area had taken a financial knock and the population are struggling with their local economy in jeopardyGuest review byAngelaUnited Kingdom - 10
Elegant, very clean and comfortable.
Elegant, very clean and comfortable. We were given a warm welcome, our every need was catered for. Very friendly, hard working staff, always had time for you. Dietary problems were catered for. One invaluable suggestion - follow the host's directions to reach the villetta because the alternative is a rough path until you reach proper roads.
