Beautiful, authentic, relaxing Inn. Loved everything about it - and could walk from the villa to one of the best hikes in Como. Marina provided excellent restaurant recommendations and other tips for the area.

The views from the balcony were amazing, it was such a great entertaining space! So spacious and super affordable considering the location! Also the housekeeping restaurant downstairs, Bar Helvetia, was amazing loved the meals there and was bonus that we only had to walk downstairs for dinner! Highly, highly recommend!

It was quiet and close to Lake Como There were great big fluffy towels and had everything you need for a night at lake Como. It is very small, so I would not recommend it for a longer stay

Excellent hotel up in the hills of Varenna, very peaceful and I can imagine it's an Ideal location in the busy months away from the main town. Rita was the perfect hostess, very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was fantastic and the room was perfect and a great size, would highly recommend. My friend and I only stayed one night so feel that we couldn't appreciate it as much as we would have liked! It's a steep climb up cobbles to the top but we enjoy a challenge! Just be careful as very slippery in the wet! Rita kindly offered for us to be picked up from the station or you can get a taxi 😊 Also a short walk up to the castle which is well worth a visit for the history and stunning views

    Tremezzo is Charm...

    Tremezzo is Charm... A quaint and picturesque commune. easy to get around. Location is perfect, with a pleasant, picturesque walk down to the lakeside promenade, where you have easy access by ferry to visit Varenna, Menaggio, and Bellagio. We ate at Helvetia Restorante, we enjoyed the food and the service was very good.

    We liked the natural beauty, the history, the architecture and the food! It was our first time driving in Italy so that was a bit of a challenge but part of the adventure. Villa Carlotta was very interesting to visit - the gardens, house and gift shop were all lovely. We ate at several lovely wine bars, pizza places and cafes recommended by Lina and Alessandro. They knew all the best places!

    Tremezzo is a wonderful place to stay.

    Tremezzo is a wonderful place to stay. You can easily catch a ferry to other towns such as Bellagio and Menaggio etc. There are several good restaurants and lovely walks along the lake. It's quieter than other busy places like Belaggio.

    Tremezzo is an ideal spot for stay in Lake Como and the perfect break from the crowds in the larger towns. There are a few restaurants and cafes and the Grand Hotel Tremezzo for some perfect lake side dinners and drinks and thanks to the Greenway path it was easy to navigate on foot.

    It’s an ideal location for exploring the entire lake.

    It’s an ideal location for exploring the entire lake. Most ferries call there and the no 10 bus runs an hourly service between Como and Colico. The downside is that travelling on the bus or boat with suitcases is not good. Both get busy and there is little luggage space - which also has to be shared with pushchairs. If there is no space you have to wait another hour and the same happens again. There does not appear to be any system of booking a shared shuttle service and even the hotel doesn’t suggest a share when several people need taxis. Its about £120 from Como station and £180 to Malpensa.

    An absolutely beautiful hotel! We loved everything…the room was incredible, the views are stunning, everything is immaculately clean and the staff are wonderful. Breakfast every morning was perfect. We had dinner one night and it was delicious. And a digestif on the terrace overlooking the lake was the perfect end to any day. The location is amazing, a very short walk to the ferry or local restaurants. We really loved everything about our stay, we will definitely be back and we 100% recommend a stay here.

    Amazing location! Room was clean and comfortable, friendly staff. We stayed in the attic room which was huge with so much light! We had dinner at the restaurant which was 10/10 & breakfast on the balcony with a lake view also.. full continental and eggs! the location is lovely we used the C10 bus to get to menaggio and lenno and the ferry to belaggio - all lovely towns. We also had dinner a 5 minute walk away from the hotel at a lovely restaurant on the lake :) I Recommend staying here rather than como.

    The apartment was very spacious the location was great, the view to the lake was stunning, i would say you need a car if you want to be able to visit more places if you are restricted to ferry times can be a little annoying but still doable, stayed in Dec/Jan for new years eve be mindful there is nothing open in Tremezzo itself hardly any shops and no restaurants but if you have a car this is not an issue.
