The apartment was very clean and spacious and has everything that you might need for a comfortable stay. Aki-san is a very nice and caring host, and the breakfast was superb. Highly recommended to stay here, but it is better to have a car, which we did, and it was easy to find the location with google map.

・Even though I was traveling by train, the family welcomed me warmly. ・There was a landscape rich in nature that was different from Kyoto and Osaka. I liked the ricefields, the Biwa-Sea, the Mountains and the special spezies of the Mammut trees. ・The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. It is a big house very nice equipped, there is a big kitchen with all you need. There are nice flowers and the linen of the beds is so soft. I felt like at home. And I enjoyed the bath. I recommand very much to stay in this wonderful house with this wonderful family. I would really like to come back one day.

It was the best place to stay in Shiga, Takashima and was the highlight of our trip in Japan. We stayed for two nights. The kindness of Fujiwara-san has constantly surprised me. He is very welcoming, attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We even received a beautiful thank you note from the host! It was a nice touch. The place is very clean and the scenery is gorgeous. It was a memorable experience for us. Will definitely come again ❤️

The house was beautiful and very well thought out. The location was gorgeous as well. The stand out was the amazing hospitality we received from Nathan who greeted us and translated our cooking class and took us on a fantastic bike ride. He was so helpful, friendly and passionate about the area and Japanese culture. We learnt so much from him and were made to feel so at home. The cooking class was incredible. The teacher was exceptional and so lovely. Thank you for an amazing experience !

Clean and beautiful view. Quiet and comfortable. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were delicious. The host was really helpful. Location was great, easily accessible from the train station. Thank you for allowing me to keep my bike indoors.
