Restaurants outside hotels are limited, so opt in for meals at hotel if possible. The hikes were wonderful. 2 hour hike and you can see it all. Go early to avoid the visitor crush. Definitely recommended to have a car. Explore Noboribetsu Onsen, Hell Valley. Day or Half-Day trips to Lake Kuttara, Lake Toya (and Toyako Onsen) are highly recommended. Spend a day trip driving to Hell Valley, and then to Muroran. 2-3 days is sufficient. If travelling by bus or train, make sure to get the schedule beforehand. While Noboribetsu is walkable, the other areas might not be so convenient without a car.Guest review byJXSingapore - 10.0
'Wow' is all I can say.

Onsen was fantastic at Noboribetsu Manseikaku. The Bear park is well worth the trip. The view from the mountain is spectacular. Being winter unfortunately some of the walking tracks were closed. Very nice little own, the main thing is to onsen!Guest review byAndrewAustralia

The outdoor bath was incredible and we loved the private bath in our room. The hotel is kept very clean, but the private bath in our room had quite a bit of mold everywhere. For such an upscale resort, I was surprised that part wasn't kept cleaner. Walkable to Noboribetsu's major sights--Jigoku Dani and the bear park.
