We spent a wonderful 4 days in this gem of a house in Shari. Its location was ideal for exploring the Shiretoko National Park and the Akan-Mashu National park, with side trips to Kawayu and Abashiri. There are plenty of good restaurants and local supermarkets in the area too. The house itself is fully equipped with everything you would ever need. There's a mini fridge with local goodies, too, for a very reasonable price. There were 3 bedrooms. 2 of them with 2 twin beds and a tatami room with fold out futons. Great kitchen with all the mod cons, washing machine, and separate dryer, which worked great. Free parking is available in front of the house, and there's a great yakitori place across the road. It's wonderfully peaceful in the evenings despite being situated along the main road. The host is always available, and retrieving the keys was very efficient. A great stay, and I highly recommend it.

The price-quality ratio is simply amazing. You could not wish for more for this price. The restaurant onsite is of top quality. The shared facilities are very clean and comfortable. Location very close to Shiretoko, also very convenient. I wish we stayed longer

The house is super big and warm. We cooked sukiyaki for dinner there. It just like you have your own kominka.
