Despite all the bad reviews seen on the internet, Renion is a great hotel. They offer 24/24 check-in which is very convenient as flights usually arrive quite late in this part of the world. The lobby makes you feel welcome, staff are welcoming and rooms very comfortable to be honest with great bathroom. Breakfast was quite a surprise, filled with lots of choices and good products. Very recommendable!

It's very rough and ready but also very cheap and ideal for a stay near the airport and train station. The staff don't speak a word of English and can appear a bit rude at times. The cheap dormitory is in an annex at the rear of the hotel and the staff just give you a couple of sheets and a towel and point you towards the stairs 🤣 The beds are comfortable for the price and the shower and toilet are clean enough . Just remember it's only 5usd a night so don't expect the Conrad Hilton! Don't pay more than 2000 local currency from the airport as taxis will try and sting you for 10000+ I give the place a 10.

We stayed couple of day in the area, we were like it. Upon arrival we got upgraded one of our room, because one of room wasn’t ready. Upgrade room, without additional charges, that was unexpected! Very helpful staff, kind and professional, as I can see they care and pay full attention to each their guest and trying by any possibility to make guest happy! Anything we asked them we got quick service! Thanks for it! Rooms are spacious and clean, what is highly important to us, I really like it the place, and highly recommended! Ahhhh restaurant food , wooow, as per my husband he never tried food tastier than here. Definitely we will recommend your place to our international friends who planing to visit Almaty. A eprson actually came and picked me up from the airport. And since my plane was late, this was in the middle of the night. Kudos to him for doing this. The place is roomy, the bed is good, bathroom pristine. And the price is good compared to a hotel.

The owner and staff are very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Invited us to share dinner which was lovely. The tent and bedding was clean, warm and very comfortable. It is a pleasant and quiet natural environment on the property. Overall a really nice experience.
