Very comfortable and excellent facilities in room. Great dining room service. Indeed a very good service from all of the most cheerful and helpful staff. A most pleasant stay. Great value for the money. The only slight problem is that it is not particularly well located for travel around the city, not badly located but much walking involved as it is not close to one of the Metro stations. They ordered me a Uber taxi once which arrived promptly and was very cheap. Definitely recommended.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Extremely comfortable and also convenient for accessing Almaty via Yandex taxi app, which is very easy to use and the response time of taxi is excellent.

I arrived at 03.00am and the receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean. Breakfast was buffet and the choice was excellent. I asked for them to arrange a taxi for the airport and again it was no problem. I would certainly stay there again.

Crispy clean, no smells, comfy beds, blackout curtains to get much needed sleep during a sunny day before the next flight. Toiletries, towels, bathrobe and hotel slippers were available. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. A free one-way transfer to/from airport was offered which i happily accepted. ~15 min drive maximum without traffic jams (travelled around 4pm and 2am on weekdays). I would return and recommend.

Very clean ( new ) and pretty large room as a single room, in comparison with the other hotels in the same price zone. Wi-Fi is available and payment by credit card is accepted. I arrived in this hotel 2 hours earlier than their check-in start time, but they were kind to let me check in in 15 minutes.

Set in Qarasū, 6.5 km from Almaty 1 Train Station, Grand Magistral offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

It was a business trip with travelling outside the city. Location of the hotel was perfect for that to avoid morning and evening traffic. Spacious room. Awesome restaurant.

The hotel staff are amazing. The lady at the reception understood my needs to check out early in the morning and she arranged a cab for airport transfer and top of that arranged tiffin box with yummy snacks for me which is a big gesture. Really thankfull !

extremely friendly and helpful staff. excellent location in terms of proximity to the airport. clean room, clean bathroom and comfortable bed. perfect match for the price. for all those posting negative reviews: please remember that this is a £25 a night hotel, which is probably the lowest in terms of price that one can find in almaty. you cannot expect sound proof rooms, stately king size beds, room service and concierge at this price. one has to be realistic. for all those complaining about the staff not being proficient in english: has it occurred to them to use an online translator?!
