Love this place and this lovely family! For sure we will be coming back! If you want to have a great experience outside Muong Ngoy (a place to goafter this lovely guesthouse Suan Phao)…. Ask Mr Joy to arrange to stay with mr Kee in Huay Bo village. Really a great experience for a night. You can walk to the village or Mr Kee can pick you up! A must go! After that: returning to Suan Phao is so great!

Fabulous location - the restaurant has a fabulous view overlooking the small jetty where the children play in the water and fishermen clean their nets. The chalets are on the main straight around 50m away. Great setting for watching life in the small village. Best of both worlds. Noy couldn’t have been more helpful and would definitely stay again - 100% recommended

Beautiful huge villa/room with ensuite bathroom. Fabulous view from private balcony. You cannot really be "out of town" in this tiny village but it was probably one or the furthest guesthouses from the boat dock (5 minute stroll, if that). Everything you need food wise is within that 5 minute stroll! Owners speak excellent English and will meet you as you come off the boat.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Such a beautiful place. Gabriel and penny are wonderful hosts. We got treated so well. They helped us in any way they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Arranged boat tickets and gave us all the information we needed for trekking and activities. Really wonderful breakfast at pennys place. The view from The bungalows is incredible. We could watch the sunset in between the mountains from Our room. excellent location close to everything. Highly recommend.

This is such an amazing guesthouse. The family that runs the place is very kind and helpful. The view from the balcony is priceless and we enjoyed our breakfasts with a view every day. The villa seems to be new and was very clean and comfortable.
