Very comfortable property with great location, the eye catcher being the 360 infinity pool. But also the rest is really nice and well take care of: great spacious bungalows with large floor-to-celing windows and great beds. The staff will go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Lot of attention to detail. If you stay over from a slowboat trip, i highly recommend staying an extra night.

Considering what Pak Beng is, this place was clean, well kept, quiet when I was there, second floor hall/ balcony had a little table outside overlooking the street. Hot water. Fan is adequate as Pak Beng is cool at night. Towels d smelled clean. Walking distance to everything. Door locks work. Screens are good. Quality little place.

I stayed here one night on the slow boat stop The village is nice and the locals super friendly people The guest house have a beautiful view to the river and if you wake up early, the sunrise + river + morning fog = wonderful view The owner and her family are super friendly and they will help you with everything you need Also they will pick you up from the boat and take you back next day They also make a good breakfast for you at a good price The room is big enough, comfy bed, a fan, tv and to chairs, bathroom is ok for one night Nothing to complain here Next time i should stay longer in that village

Family run and the daughter was fantastic. She actually wrote out my very long surname and tried to meet me at the boat landing to help us get up the hill. I very much appreciated the gesture. It was a bit crazy at the boat landing so I'm not surprised I missed her. Guesthouse is a short walk up the hill next to a decent restaurant. She even got up early to make sure we got coffee before we left. The town caters to the slow boat tourists and many places make sandwiches and baked goods for pre boarding.. one place does their own baking and the banana bread was excellent Really enjoyed the stop in the town.

If you take the slow-boat, you have no choice but to stay here. Just make the most of it and sleep as much of it as you can. At least the place seems to go to bed about 9pm so it is very quiet - great when you have to get up at 5:30 the next day

You must read the history of Lao and that area.

You must read the history of Lao and that area. In the past was quite rough. A friend described it as ‘narco sh*thole’. If you are a one night tourist, are polite, stick to your normal tourist routine it seems quaint and harmless. Most local people are friendly and helpful despite the history, and current young party tourists and others. Depends on the day. Almost no one stays two nights.
