Hemantha, the owner and manager of hotel and his son Dulana have built a truly beautiful pearl in the middle of the rainforest. With excellent English, they took care of us and fulfilled all our wishes. This is our fifth time in Sri Lanka, but we visited Kitulgala for the first time during our travels and I can recommend this area to everyone to visit. Waterfalls in the middle of the forest and rafting on the river are among the great experiences that this hotel offers you at a very fair price. And then you can let yourself be pampered in the comfort of the hotel with great food and enjoy a bath in the beautiful natural pool or right in the small clean river that flows around the hotel. This boutique hotel has an amazing history, it used to be a private residence 100 years ago. Most of the flooring tiles are original, the place has been beautifully restored, the rooms are incredible and very cozy, their beds are comfortable. I don't want to give away the story behind the beauty of this building but do stay there and ask them for a little tour around. It's absolutely fantastic.

overall excellent property. it's just 6 months old so very neat, crisp and with superb interiors. The location is awesome just above a river. The transfer is done by boat due to it's narrow path which is very thrilling and exciting. (they are building a ropeway in near future) The staff is very much cordial and very helpful. specially Mr.Dolip the manager was really helpful. they cooked special vegetarian food for us which was really delicious. they provided us free Kayak and Our daughter enjoyed the kayaking very much. overall we really enjoyed the stay and we regret that we booked only 1 night as we could easily stay here for minimum 3 nights. qe look forward to come here again.

The staff was great, very helpful and caring. The place is surrounded by nature and is a great base for hiking and trips to waterfalls. If you don't have your own vehicle, you can take advantage of the wide range of activities they organize.

This hotel is a hidden gem, in colonial style with big rooms and even bigger balconies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean and well maintained. From the pool there was a spectacular mountain view.
