From the very first moment, we felt right at home. The hosts were incredibly caring and kind, making us feel like part of their family. Their warm welcome and continuous attentiveness made our stay truly special. One highlight was definitely the tour with the host (Rabi) to see the lorises. These fascinating creatures, which are hardly seen anywhere else in the world, left us completely enchanted. It was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend. A clean modern hotel with a huge room, quality fixtures and fittings, fully equipped with balcony, comfortable bed and an actual bath! The breakfast was massive, with a choice of either Sri Lankan or eggs, sausage and pancakes, along with fruit and toast. The hotel has a proper restaurant (unlike others that claim to) and we ate here one night. The food was delicious and plentiful, beer is available. The family are very happy and helpful, arranging tuk tuks and giving advice. Dambulla is a town without much to attract tourists, except the impressive cave temples and the international cricket stadium. The hotel is in perfect location for both by tuk tuk. Our visit coincided with an international match and the hotel is actually within walking distance of the stadium, about half an hour flat walk.

We had a great stay with Asanka and his family. First of all the property is perfectly equipped & very clean and tidy. You can tell everything has been done with attention to detail and a high standard. It is also separated enough from the main house to have privacy. What we appreciated the most was the generous & warmhearted hosting - it was exceptional, and we really enjoyed getting to know more of the local culture this way. The place is a short 10-minute walk from the busier main street, so you get to enjoy some extra piece and quiet with deliciously cooked breakfast. The host gave us excellent recommendations and helped us visit nearby attractions. We hope to come again!
