We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)

My bungalow was spotless and very comfortable. The aircon and WiFi were great. The food in the restaurant was really good and all cooked fresh to order. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay in Kalpitiya!

We absolutely loved our stay at Club Mango. Super reasonably priced for what you get for it, excellent big pool, huge lovely room and comfortable bed. The main restaurant/hang out area was really nice. Main thing is the staff are absolutely amazing, we were so impressed with literally everyone working there, everyone was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The manager in particular was great and very attentive. We were travelling on our honeymoon and they did a beautiful welcome/happy honeymoon sign on our bed with fresh flowers and coconut leaves!! Perfect location for either diving at the excellent dive centre next door (Kalpitiya Dive Centre - highly recommend this, we had an excellent time with great visibility) or kitesurfing if this is up your alley. Delicious breakfasts, we also had dinners here which were fab. Bit of a drive away from civilisation but easy in a car. Close to Wilpattu NP - we stayed here after our time at Club Mango.

Right on the beach where you could swim easily especially in the morning before the waves got bigger. Rooms were good with the resort garden still full of trees with a resident parrot and squirrel I like some where they have concreted over everything. Nice small pool if the waves are too big for you. Easy beach walks past fishing villages and access to kite surfing places if that is what you are looking for.

I have to say, it exceeded all of our expectations. The villa's were absolutely beautiful and comfortable, with all necessary amenities, including air conditioning which was a lifesaver during the hot days. The pool was a great place to relax after a long day of kitesurfing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - they really made it a great experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious local food that was offered. The resort's restaurant served a variety of mouth-watering Sri Lankan dishes that were made with fresh ingredients. The kitchen staff took pride in preparing local dishes and appreciated our interest in their cuisine. After the first three nights we simply asked them to recommend what we should eat (emphasizing that we wanted to eat local Sri Lankan food) which resulted in many dishes to remember. The location of the resort was perfect for kitesurfing enthusiasts like myself, as it was close to many great kitesurfing spots, and the staff were happy to give recommendations and even arrange transportation to the spots. We booked our lessons and rented our gear at Surfpoint which is located at a 10-minute walk from the resort. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Hiru Resort and Kite Surfing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable and kite-surfing friendly vacation. The combination of the great facilities, friendly staff, delicious food and great location made for an unforgettable experience.
