The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location faced to beautiful paddy field. Top tip : Hotel owner Mrs.Dilhani arranged our Safari and made us delicious breakfast packed in a containers to carry with us while on safari.We had an absolutely brilliant day and I would love to recommend White House Inn - Thissamaharama to other travellers. The staff at Hotel River Front is 100% the reason you should stay here! They arranged our transport from Mirissa, and to Ella. Booked our safari and sent us with a packed breakfast. We ate dinner at the restaurant at the hotel and it was so good and affordable too! Their safari driver was great, we saw 2 bears and 2 leopards along with elephants and everything else we'd hoped to see. This is a perfect place to stay to safari in Yala.

Nalin was the best gost I had in Sri Lanka - so helpful, friendly, hospitable. I originally booked this place for the safari, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much there was to explore nearby. Beautiful lakes, jungles, temples, a bat viewpoint, and plenty of nature… Nalin also provided me with a bicycle, making it easy to explore the surroundings. The dinner prepared by Nalin’s wife was absolutely delicious. The room had everything I needed. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to nature lovers!

Beautiful place, well maintained grounds. Comfortable lakefront homes with a lovely porch with a beautiful view of the lake. Very caring and attentive host and staff. The breakfast is superb, the most delicious coconut pancakes. We also ordered dinner which was served to us on the veranda, the food was great and so was the service. I recommend this place!

If you are looking for place where you will feel like home away, this is it! This family is incredible, and I honestly wish more people would be like them. On top of that food is great (they provided fully vegan breakfast for me), room is huge and super clean. Don't think twice stay here.

The hotel is beautifully located. You can go for morning or evening walks around the lake (or with a TukTuk) and spot many animals. The lake is also visible from the balcony. The hosts are amazing. They’re welcoming and very friendly. They organized us Taxis and a Safari. Also they prepared us a breakfast to go for the Safari Tour. Highly recommend this place!!!

    The White House Inn is a fantastic place to stay in Thissamaharama. It’s situated in a calm and natural setting, making it perfect for relaxation. The inn is also very close to the Yala National Park, which is great for those looking to go on safari. The hotel is clean and comfortable, providing a welcoming atmosphere. The spacious lobby area is a nice spot to unwind. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, offering excellent service throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the food. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and the Sri Lankan dishes were absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the White House Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
