Tranquil wild lived up to its name. It is right next to a lake with water buffalo in it. There are heaps of birds including peacocks and hornbills in the garden plus lots of monkeys, squirrels and lizards around. The garden is huge with mature trees and plenty of space. You can walk beside the lake and do a little exploring, really nice at sun rise or sunset. The swimming pool was excellent for a bit of relaxing. Anne and Amal were fantastic hosts answering all our questions and organizing our safari and other activities. I recommend having Amal on your safari. He is full of info and has a big camera lens to get those close ups the cellphones can't do. Their safaris go into block 5 and 6 which are a lot quieter ( in terms of jeep numbers) than the main Yala block 1. We saw elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, lots of birds, and 2 leopards. Also if you have the chance to have dinner and bonfire down by the lake shore then do it, we got lucky with a stunning night and full moon rising. The food, including breakfast was really good. If you are looking for somewhere to relax with nature then this is it.

Friendly staff willing to go the extra mile. Organised our safari for us, made special meals for my fussy eater kids and were just awesome in every way. Do yourselves a favour and stay and this beautiful hotel. They will do everything to make sure you enjoy your stay. From making sure you are conformable in your room to giving you advice on where to enjoy a meal (or preparing one for you at the hotel)

Super clean, great rooms, nice view and nice staff. 10/10 if u Wanna do a safari in Yala park, they arranged a safari and the driver is super experienced.

The Best Hospitality We Ever Had They were in touch with us since the day we booked their accommodation. Host picked us from bus stop when we arrived to city. In the evening owner joined with us for a evening walk. He brought us to a place to see more than thousand fruit bats in the evening by their own vehicle. On the way back we went to see a very rare owl at a secret place. They offered us all of these free of charge and when we leaving they dropped us to the bus station also. The hospitality was amazing and the best hospitality we ever had. Absolutely they are doing more than a five stars hotel. The price also very reasonable and we couldn't understand how they offer such a service for a very cheap price. For the dinner also owner dropped us to main city by their vehicle. About the room it was very clean There is a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and fishes The place is ideal for bird lovers. Located infront of a beautiful lake with beautiful flowers. Could see crocodile also in the lake. They offered us a super fresh juice when we arrived. Again a black coffee in the evening. They packed our breakfast for the safari at 4 am. It was very helpful. We did a safari with hotel. e had the best guide and driver. He gave us lots of information about the park and animals. They recommended us the full day safari and we did. It was a correct decision. We were lucky to see two leopards and all other animals. We had a very delicious Sri Lankan Rice and Curry for the lunch with fresh fruits. Unfortunately the prices of entrance tickets increased by government few months ago. But we understood it's out of control by host and safari service. Absolutely they are the best for safari. This is the best hotel and kindful hosts we alever met on our tour.

We had an unforgettable experience! The hosts were incredibly kind and friendly, truly deserving of a 10+. The room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The dinner that was included was absolutely delicious, and we savored every bite. We felt like we were in paradise during our stay, surrounded by beauty and tranquility. The hosts even provided bicycles, which allowed us to explore the area at our own pace. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Our stay with Randy and his delightful family was absolutely fabulous. The room was very large, spacious and comfortable, and beautifully clean. The food Randy's wife made for us was really delicious, and healthy too. We enjoyed lots of exotic fruits we had not tried before, most of which came from their garden. Randy went above and beyond any expectations we could possibly have. He took us on a tour of the lake and village, and pointed out lots of amazing wildlife, including toucans, turtles, and monitor lizards. The whole family were lovely, including Randy's wife and little girl. Elegant Lake House is a perfect place to stay. There is nothing else to say. Thank you very much, Randy and family.

We really enjoyed our stay at Double Lake View due to the so kind and helpfull staff, they make you feel so welcomed. The room was perfect for a shorter stay and the food they made were delicious.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location is near river. Big beds, excellent balcony. We were going to safarri at 5 am and Mithilla prepared for us breakfast to take away at this time. It was great. Thank u so much

We had unforgettable experience with nehansa resort crew. When we arrived, they offered us free tour to nearby lake to see alligators and huge colony of bats. Next morning we went to private safari which we prebooked at resort. The safari was amazing and we had probably the best driver ever! We managed to see leopards twice, and second one was spotted by our driver. Last say we booked taxi ride to mirissa with resort owner that was great, cheap and super comfortable in Toyota prius. Anyway, we LOVED every second of our stay!
