Our stay at V.G.I. was fantastic. We initially planned to stay for two days, but ended up staying a week. The longer we stayed, the more we enjoyed it—not just the accommodation, but the experiences we had. As nature lovers, we aimed to observe as many animals as possible, and we succeeded 100%. Some of our favorite sightings included giant hornbills, iguana, jardon's nightjar, giant squirrels, paradise flycatchers, pond herons, crocodiles, deer, and elephants. For transportation to Ihala Kottiyaba, there are buses from the new bus station in Anuradhpra at 12:00, 14:30, and 18:00. Alternatively, you can go to the Parasangavewa junction and take a tuk-tuk (or a3-hour walk :). What we loved most: -The friendly and helpful people in the surrounding villages. They will take care of you. -Our host, Muthalif. Everyone in the 20 km area knows him, so you can explore freely and still feel safe. -Great day trips with visits to lakes and forests, and meeting wonderful people. (We ended up at W.N park once,  didnt pay for safari or anything.) -Crocodiles cruising the nearby lake every morning after sunrise. -The delicious dinners. During the hottest hours, we enjoyed relaxing around the house. If you can't sleep in the heat, opt for the AC room.

Don't hesitate - book it! Maho is a pure, peaceful treasure, newly built with all amenities you need & a beautiful pool. It's very quiet & idyllic there. Best bathroom we had in Sri Lanka & always hot water. The bed is pure heaven! Located directly near the old city :) Hosts & staff are priceless - they go above & beyond to ensure a perfect stay! They even look for the best prices in trips & transportation & will tell you everything 100 % transparentely. Food was veeery tasty! Breakfast is included & they additionally offer lunch & dinner as well. It was really hard to leave this stunning place & everyone working there! We even extended our stay. Thank you for everything! Our 3rd time in Sri Lanka was a lot more perfect with staying here :D

My experience at Hotel 4U Saliya Garden was exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with arrangements for tours and tuk-tuk rides at reasonable prices. The food was delicious, and the swimming pool was spacious and well maintained. Guests can also enjoy complimentary access to the billiard table, which is always available. The hotel offers ample parking for vehicles, and the room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with a fully functional air conditioning system. A lot of nature and animals around is the cherry on top

The place is beautiful, in the middle of nature with many trees around and a lot of birds, this is very peace. The food is very good, you should try their kothu and rice curry, delicious! The staff was very helpful and attentive and we felt like home there! We originally booked a balcony room upstairs and they offered another room downstairs which was more convenient for us. I definitely recommand this place for few nights.

The hotel is in a convenient location and easy to reach. The hospitality of the staff was excellent - they were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. It was a wonderful stay in the homestay. The host was a super friendly man, who gave us a nice a tour arouns the town. He used to be a guide, so knew a lot of background information. The room was cool and clean. Breakfast was excellent and more than enough. All in one a excellent experience.
