What truly impressed me was the innovative approach to dining. With the convenience of scanning a QR code in the comfort of my room, I could effortlessly order delicious meals through WhatsApp well in advance. While the meals took a bit longer to prepare, the freshness and quality were well worth the wait. The staff at Subaseth Villa went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. Their willingness to assist with any request, from room service to arranging tours, truly exemplified their dedication to hospitality. Nestled amidst the tranquil jungle surroundings, the hotel provided a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sight of peacocks, monkeys, and squirrels frolicking in the hotel garden added an extra layer of charm to the experience. One highlight of my stay was the early morning packed breakfast provided for our Wilpattu tour at 5:30 am. It was a thoughtful touch that allowed us to start our day of exploration on the right foot. Moreover, the presence of an organic coconut and mango grove on the premises added a delightful tropical touch to the experience, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and locally sourced produce. In conclusion, my time at Subaseth Villa was nothing short of extraordinary. From the warm hospitality to the breathtaking surroundings, every moment exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay.

We only stayed one night but the hotel was Excellent, clean and modern. The breakfast was good and plentiful and we had a great dinner there as well at a very Reasonable price.

We loved how peaceful we felt staying at this property! It was a true village life experience. We would recommend taking a walk to the lake which is only 5 mins from the property. It is also conveniently located close to all the main historical attractions in Anuradapura. The staff are very friendly and helpful and even helped us organise a Tuk Tuk for sightseeing.

Arachchi Heritage is an architectural marvel combining Sri Lankan tradition with a sleek, modern design and much attention to detail in a beautiful setting at the lake shore. With only 3 tastefully decorated rooms to rent it has a very private and exclusive feel to it. We loved relaxing in the open lounge area by the pool with a nice cup of tea or cold drinks. The hospitality of the owners and staff made it feel like a home away from home. The freshly made to order food was delicious.

The lady of the house is very friendly and helpful. She makes a very welcoming atmosphere. She cooks excellent meals herself, so we recommend her cooking classes although we didn't try them, our visit was too short to cook. The room was clean and spacy, with wifi and airconditioning. The vicinity was pleasantly quiet. We loved her garden and the garden kitchen where meals were made and served.

I had a lovely stay at Residence by Amaya. The place is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the room was spacious and comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. I’d definitely love to come back!

The view from the room is super beautiful, the vocation is a little bit outside of the city Center what makes it really calm and natural. When I sat on the terrace I saw monkeys and palm trees. The best part of this place is the host family who treated me super kindly and made me part of the family for the time I stayed at their place. The owner of the property took me to a lot of hidden places and when I got hungry he dropped me at a really nice restaurant. I am really grateful I got to know them!

First: huge room as you see it , bed big and comfy, all you need is there. In addition the setting is perfect, far from main roads, it is quiet, no car noise, no pollution, immerse in a garden with Coco and banana plants, you wake up with birds singing. there are even the srilanka squirrels! Not sure the name.. Archeological park is far from town and huge, therefore you need a mean of transport anyway... But the most important thing were Ishani and her family. i was booking places for our holiday, when I saw this place and I decided that I was going to book all places run by local families, in order to know them more, the culture, the food. Also I know that srilanka people are very nice and I think they deserve to be known and to be rewarded directly. But I couldn't imagine we were going to feel so well here! They are all so incredibly nice. We had srilanka breakfast and dinner for the 3days prepared by them, great! I suggested them to set cooking classes! The big surprise was that they speak also Italian! So we chat in English and Italian! Leaving this morning was not easy, we felt at home. And I really wishto see them again. For sure we'll keep in touch. I don't think it'll be possible to match this great welcoming place during this trip.
