The location is amazing (if you like off the beaten track). The house has interesting architecture and great furniture, with a fantastic view of the ocean, and private steps down to the beach. The bottled water on tap in the kitchen was excellent, and vital for this isolated location. Agustín, the manager, was very helpful, although he walks out from the village, so we didn't want to burden him with requests. Guests need to bring everything you need for your stay - all food, drinks etc as the nearest shops are in the village, there are no facilities /restaurants at the beach.

I loved my stay at this hostel! Absolutely dreamy! The ladies who were working there were lovely. The bed was comfortable, it is so peaceful and quiet, the pool is beautiful and it is a one minute walk to the beach. There is a beautiful dog at the hostel called Collie...what a sweetheart. And two beautiful cats.

We could not have enjoyed our stay at Ciye Hotel more and we will absolutely stay here again. The rooms are beautiful, clean, comfortable and quiet. The pool is even better than the photos. The staff are kind and helpful. The hotel even offered distilled water stations so we did not have to buy bottled water. There were free bikes to use, beach accessories (towels, coolers, umbrellas, chairs)

A dreamy hotel in a charming little beach town. Just far enough away from the main drag for a tranquil vibe but still close enough for easy access to beach, restaurants and shops. The rooms are gorgeous and the early-opening coffee shop is great for when you have to do some work. Especially if Mocha is there.

    We have stayed in Lo de Marcos several times.

    We have stayed in Lo de Marcos several times. We love how friendly everyone is. It is a small Mexican community that is much quieter & laid back than the bigger centers. The beach is beautiful. The water can be a little rough for non-swimmers. The town has many small, truly Mexican cuisine restaurants as well as a couple Canadian/American style places. Cobblestone streets & roosters crowing add to the overall charm
