This IS the best resort/chalet in the area. I do not know how those low scores came about as location is the same for the rest of the resorts. The rooms were very clean, huge and beds were so comfy. Aircon was fully functioning and I appreciated the mini fridge that kept our milk cold for the week we were there. Staff (the 3 workers) were friendly and kept the place in great condition. The swimming pool (which is chlorinated by the way) was cleaned once every few days so there were almost no dead insects/leaves inside. I did not get to have any meals there as they will only cook if there are larger numbers. That said, 2 very solid food places are nearby with the nearer one less than 200m away. I was there for relaxation and have been to this area for almost 19 years and stayed at plenty of places around. This is definitely the very best by a large margin. Overseas astro enthusiasts were there too and were full of praise for the resort as well.

Myra Hotel Mersing is a small hotel in the center of Mersing town. Location: Myra Hotel has very central and comfortable location. Bus station and ferry boat station/jetty were 10-15 minutes of walking distance from the hotel. ATM, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bank are just outside of the hotel. Room: I was provided with comfortable size room with window. There was a queen size bed with clean bedsheets and pillows, towels, an electric kettle, glasses, bottled water, a small console table with chair, a TV, an air conditioner, cloth hangers, a bedside table and a bench. There was an en-suite bathroom with hot water and soap. Walls in my room were dirty, with marks, stains and cracked in some places, but it was not an issue for me. I felt some humidity in the room. But I think it is a problem of all buildings located at the tropical sea shore. Free Wi-Fi internet worked very well in my room. I noticed water cooler/dispenser and iron board with iron in the hallway near stairs. I don’t know if it is for hotel guests or for somebody else. There is a deposit of 50 ringit. I don’t know for what, just know about it. Overall, it is a good place to stay for one-two days before/after going to Tioman island. You will have everything needed for modest but comfortable stay.

The villa itself is very spacious for 10 people and we love their interior design as well as provided with 4 Queen bed, 2 room with aircond/fan and attached bathroom, 1 room with fan attached bathroom and an attic with fan and wonderful view. It’s very well located only 7 minutes walk from Jetty. It is very quiet location. The owner/ host is VERY helpful and sends clear instructions. The wifi is perfect. The bed is very comfortable (we prefer bed & pillow on the firm side). Hot water works instantly and decent water pressure. There is both aircon and fan in room. There’s even free coffee sachet, water and snack in room as well as hair dryer. The value is unbeatable! Thank you to KB Guesthouse for also introducing a great driver.

A very clean and neat homestay. Got TV, refrigerator, cooking place and equipments too. Owner also prepared toiletries and the bathroom is clean.
