My main concern during my stay there was the hangout spots, especially at night. Since we all know Kuantan is Negeri Darul Event, I purposely came on weekdays. There are a lot of cafes, and if you stay nearby or in Kuantan city, some of them are within walking distance. During my stay there, i fully depending on the public transport and grab obv. I managed to try some of the famous things like Kula Cakes, celup tepung and the “tourist beach.” I haven’t tried their truly authentic local food yet or fully experienced the nature and culture due to my short stay but I definitely will someday. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it for solo travelers.Guest review byA'nas - 10

Kuantan is a nice city.
Kuantan is a nice city. It is not too busy, but traffic can be quite hectic at certain times. The beaches give a plus point to this city. You can get all basic necessities here. Food price is regular but the portion is bigger than larger cities like KL. If you plan to come for some downtime, relaxing, and sightseeing, this city is perfect. We askwd about the river cruise activity but the girl wasn't informed us that there is a schedule for cruising. We walk for about 1km to the cruise jetty but was closed. We called the number at the gate and there was a scheduled for tourist who want to cruise along the Kuantan River..
